The Commons announces Red Hot Research Dates for fall 2022

LAWRENCE — Red Hot Research returns this fall with in-person events for University of Kansas researchers. Red Hot Research is a regular Friday event at The Commons, built of five short presentations by faculty and graduate researchers across the university to open the door for new ways of understanding research across disciplines.

The first event is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sept. 23 at The Commons and will focus on Trans* Studies. Red Hot Graduate Research is scheduled for Oct. 14 and will center research with the theme Beyond a Dominant Narrative. The final session of the semester will highlight research that informs the theme of Brain & Computation, scheduled for Oct. 21.

In keeping with the goals of this series, presenters are asked to share briefly about a component of their current work that is accessible to a nonspecialist audience. In turn, audience members are asked to questions and ideas for growing the work.
